"Lake Kasumigaura Animal and Everyone's House (Namegata City, Ibaraki Prefecture)" has won the "2025 JIA Japan Architecture Award."

Thank you very much for your continued patronage of MOFF Co., Ltd.

The Kasumigaura Animal and Everyone's House (Namegata City, Ibaraki Prefecture), which our company operates, has been awarded the 2025 JIA Japan Architecture Grand Prize, the highest architectural award sponsored by the Japan Institute of Architects (JIA), a public interest incorporated association.

■ "Entrance to Nature" created with architect Ippei Takahashi

This facility, a former Water Science Museum, underwent extensive renovation and was reborn on July 31, 2024, as a "gateway to nature" designed by architect Ippei Takahashi. The concrete circular terrace that wraps around the perimeter connects Lake Kasumigaura's abundant nature, sky, and earth together. "Returning to the natural environment by bringing in light and breezes and welcoming animals" - this innovative and philosophical attempt has led to high praise for this contemporary architecture.

The goal of "Animal House for Everyone" is not simply to be a place to exhibit animals, but to be a place where people can reflect and think about various things through animals and nature.

In this modern age where answers are readily available, by coming into direct contact with the warmth of life and immersing yourself in the cycle of nature, you will become someone who can think beyond that and ask, "What can I do to protect the global environment?" We hope that the experience here will be a small but definite catalyst for such a future.

All of our staff look forward to welcoming you to our newly opened "gateway to nature."
