Frequently asked questions
:Do I need knowledge or experience with animals to work at MOFF?
No, it is not necessary.
No prior knowledge or experience with animals is necessary.
At MOFF, we value above all else the feelings of "loving animals" and "wanting to make animals and people smile." After joining the company, we have a training system where you can learn how to handle animals and the basics of customer service from scratch, so even if you have no experience, you can start with confidence.
In fact, many of our senior employees are taking on challenges from different fields.
:What kind of training and support do you provide after joining the company?
After joining the company, there is a training and follow-up system that allows you to grow step by step.
First, you will receive basic training at the store, where you will learn the basics of animal care, customer service, cleaning, etc. After that, depending on your skills, you can move on to leadership training, store manager training, management training, etc.
We also provide an environment where you can discuss your concerns and worries through one-on-one meetings with your superiors and senior colleagues. The entire team will support your growth.
:Are there a range of jobs and careers that new graduates can try?
Of course there is.
At MOFF, we respect the desire to take on new challenges, regardless of age or experience. Employees have the opportunity to be involved in store management from their first year at the company, and some have quickly become leaders or store managers.
In the future, you can also change careers to positions such as animal welfare-based behavioral understanding and training specialists, planning and public relations, human resources and recruitment, and headquarters operations. This is an environment where you can create a career that suits you, centered around your love of animals.
:Please tell me about the working hours, vacation system, and employee benefits at the store.
The basic system is a shift system with two days off per week, but you can also apply for two days off per month.
We place importance on a comfortable working environment for both full-time employees and partners.
In addition to complete social insurance, transportation expenses reimbursed, uniforms provided, and employee discounts, MOFF also offers benefits unique to the company, such as opportunities to interact with animals.
We also offer flexible working arrangements to suit your lifestyle (such as shorter working hours or consultations about work location). For more information, please see the "Learn about the working environment" page.
:What are the future career steps and promotion process?
We have a system in place to properly evaluate each employee's efforts and achievements.
一般スタッフ → 店長 → エリアマネジャー → マネジャー →シニアマネジャー→ゼネラルマネジャーという明確なキャリアステップを用意しています。
Depending on your own wishes and areas of expertise, you may also be able to move on to specialized positions such as education, recruitment, or event planning.
:What is the atmosphere like in terms of communication between employees and the working environment?
Our employees all love animals, making this a fun place to work.
We place great importance on teamwork because we interact with customers and animals every day at our store.
There is a culture of saying "Thank you" and "You helped me out," and when you are in trouble, someone will naturally lend a hand.
There are many young employees, and you can work in a positive and cheerful atmosphere.
:Please tell me the process from application to job offer.
The general process is as follows:
① Entry
② Document screening
③ Interviews (2 times)
④ Job offer
The interview emphasizes dialogue, and we will ask you about your personality, your thoughts, and the specific experiences you have had. *The interview will be online.
:What do you focus on in an interview?
What we value above all else is a willingness to contribute and a willingness to learn, rather than knowledge alone. We will ask how you can put that feeling into action and what role you would like to play within the team.
:Are there any transfers or relocations?
Yes, there is.
We have stores all over the country, but we decide on transfers based on the growth of the business and the individual's growth, such as "within commuting distance from home" and "transfers for career advancement."
There is no forced transfer.
:Are there dormitories or company housing?
Currently, MOFF does not have a dormitory or company housing system.
However, for those who need to move due to personnel transfers, the company has a system in place to cover part of the expenses. In addition, if you work in an urban area, we provide support such as a regional allowance so that you can start your new life with peace of mind. Please feel free to ask us for more details during your interview.
